I need to find a knitting pattern with a pentacle on.?

Q) My friend would like me to make a shawl or blanket for her expectant baby with a pentacle pattern on it. I can adjust the pattern if I can get the pentacle on another item, i.e. jumper. I have tried searching the web & also tried ebay but cannot find anything.

A) Here's an internet application which creates knitting patterns from an uploaded picture. Unfortunately the pattern is always rectangular, you can either buy some graph paper from your local craft store and transfer both a shawl/blanket pattern and the pattern from the pentacle picture into one. Or you can use an existing shawl/blanket pattern and try to work out where to insert the pentacle pattern. Q) This knitting pattern is about thirty years old, it was printed for Robin Wools in Bradford, it is for a baby shawl, the reference no is 13497. Thank you

A) try www.marymaxim.ca(inCanada) .com (in USA)They are a mail order co. and have lots to choose from on their web site. you should also check out the public library in the craft and hobby section. they have lots of beautiful knitting pattern books . I have knitted a lacy baby shawl in the ripple pattern. it is easy to remember the pattern once you do a few rows and if you use #5 or#6 needles ,it is really lacy and knits up fast.
